How to prepare a PDF for sharing
A few checks before sending a PDF can prevent confusing versions, failed uploads and accidental disclosure.
Check the content
Remove pages and comments that the recipient does not need. Review visible personal information, metadata and attachments before sharing.
Choose a useful size
For scans and image-heavy files, try Compress PDF and compare the result at normal reading size. Compression can rasterize text and remove selectable content in this release.
Use a clear filename
Use a short filename with a version or date. Avoid putting sensitive information in the filename or in a public link.
Open the final file
Check page order, orientation, legibility and the number of pages after processing. Keep the original in a safe place.
