How to use Bookmark PDF

Write page positions and titles

Enter one line per entry, for example 1 | Project. Existing bookmarks are replaced with your flat list.

Save bookmarks

Keep the source, run the task and inspect the result before accepting it.

Click each destination in a reader

Compare the saved copy with the practice result described above before using your own document.

Add bookmarks to a PDF using chapter titles

Build a flat navigation outline with one page position and title per line. A bookmark appears in a compatible reader’s outline panel; it does not insert a visible contents page.

A practical example

If Introduction is printed as page 1 but follows two front pages, enter 3 | Introduction. After saving, open the downloaded PDF in a reader with a bookmarks panel and click each entry.

What to check in the result

Your list replaces existing bookmarks. Up to 200 entries are supported, without nested chapters or automatic heading detection. Finish merging or rearranging first, then verify destinations.

Supported files and limits

Use valid, unencrypted PDF files, within 50 MB total input. Complex files may exceed device memory.

Questions & answers

How do I add bookmarks to a PDF?

Enter one line per bookmark as page number | title, then save a copy. Use actual file-page positions, not the numbers printed on the pages. Verify the outline in a reader that supports bookmarks.

Will adding bookmarks create a table of contents page?

No. It creates a flat navigation outline and replaces existing bookmarks. Application Pack can create a visible linked contents page when combining PDF documents.

Can I create nested bookmarks automatically?

No. Enter a flat list manually, with one page number and title per line. Existing bookmarks are replaced.
