A smaller PDF, with the right trade-offs
PDF compression can mean different things. PDF Tools Club renders each page into an image, compresses it as JPG, and places it inside a new PDF.
When it works well
Image-heavy scans and large photographic documents are good candidates. Start with Balanced, then compare the downloaded result with your original.
What you give up
Text becomes part of the image and cannot be selected or searched. Interactive forms, links and digital signatures are not preserved. Small text can look softer at lower quality.
When to keep the original
If a document is already optimized or mainly text, this approach may make it larger. PDF Tools Club reports the resulting size and offers the original when compression does not help.
